i went shopping today. no matter how often i come to tokyo there is always more stuff that i've never seen before. all those crazy things and i buy a deer? it's the strangest thing i could have bought. i guess that was the only one, so no more deers in shibuya.
yes! something from No Age. maybe the new album will be one of the finest things this year. something behind punk...
there's a tendency of me, to get unusually excited about every piece of new material from No Age.
69 Année Érotique, i can't stand romantic. 04.08.2010
this old 60s song is pretty much my understanding of érotique. deeply moody and a bit ironic.
it makes the word "erotique" not sound like "romantic". i can't stand romantic.
it's a not too seriously taken candlelight dinner with sex ( and for sure no fastfood dinner ). just like i like it. 69 Année Érotique
...but actually i can't understand much of the french vocals.
it's like me. i was wearing blue, very short, shorts with white legs the last few days. sometimes my balls did fall out, too. ( yea i know you'd like to imagen these are my balls and legs. they're not. )
this was lunch today. now it's night and the only difference is that it became dark. lazy holidays
Best Coast LP 15.07.2010
i love when someone smiles cautiously after tears. it's my favorite picture for now. the clipping is nice too as you can not really tell if she's smiling. don't know who took it.
anyway i wanted to say something about the Best Coast debut LP. mh, it fits ! to oceans and beaches and tears and happy summers.
it was hard to choose an image for that song. it's so hard-hitting that it's very much impossible to find anything that can deal with it. the only thing that finally worked was something endlessly open. it's so not possible to drown in that sound cause there's noting than space. i wonder how this song keeps the balance of emotions and space.
i just discovered an old Deerhunter CD-R. it's very experimental stuff. "Snow Dogs"... "Dogs Are Cool"... "But I'm A Boy". thats the best thing that could have happened today. download the whole thing here
Though Alliance member Eric Berglund is ceo. he came up with the name ceo on a stormy day at the ocean when "a thousand angels whispered ceo, ceo, ceo, ceo, ceo". man-oh-man that sounds pretty gay. i think his solo album sounds like a dreamy version of Though Alliance and it turned out just nice.
i got a mail from "tomboyz". he/she thinks it might be better if i give more info about the bands and songs i blog about and i should try to name album title and band name: "this is not supportive for new bands!"
thanks for the nice mail. i explain the website for you:
1. i don't give a shit about promoting any bands.
2. i care about moods and nudity and boys and girls.
it's really easy. i just do what i want.
( if you're looking for a useful blog, which names the band / city / album titel / genre / links to the band / and general sentences about the band... visit one of the million clones of music blogs out there. they do that. )
I'm Gonna Marry A Prostitute. 25.06.2010
i just surfed the net, got a little lost, and what!!!!!!!!!!! the fuck. this album is a *special* no sound fave for its dullness and.. mh ..nothing. the album is called "777". yea it's pretty silly stuff. ( anyway i've chosen one of my favorite pictures to support the songs. )
i made this. i didn't try to make it good. 18.06.2010
i made this. i had to finish the class of Mrs.M and i did it for the credits.
i didn't try to make it good. but it's good. it should have been about love. but it's about sex.
"wanna get high with you" 16.06.2010
An old memory. the dreamiest of them all! galaxie 500 [MP3]
cum. 13.06.2010
i went to my favorite place in OF.
i can secretly jerk off and no one can see it. that stuff is really slimy.
Lo-fi beach pop or "chill-wave" is all the hype this year. Bands like Washed Out, Toro y Moi or Best Coast are perfect at creating the lazy, free feeling that comes with being at the ocean. THE DRUMS doing the same. But instead of all the lo-fi mud they come with crystal clear, sparkling melodies. I've been listening to THE DRUMS album all week long. Nice to see a band making beach pop in a sunny way.
i went to see Joanna Newsom last night. it was at a church and sold out. she asked if we all feel a little formal cause we're in a church. we have been so quiet at the concert. she said we look like church maize (mais). yea sitting there on the bench so quiet, we really looked like church maize. a concert at the church was also a bit special for her. ha, she also asked if someone did bring a whiskey bottle. damn she's so cute.
i was sitting on the backrest of the bench for like half an hour. some people started to do the same, sitting on the backrest too. than the security came to me and said "we're in a church".
joanna + band + church sounds like .. i didn't even know something can sound like that. comparing it to a 320kb MP3, it's a million times better.
this is amazing. seems like all my favorite songs get
visualised now. i can watch it forever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever eve everr ever EVER! if i repeat myself that much i think it's really good. after 4:30min it gets so damn beautiful.
the song is from my second favorite album "Logos" in 2009.
it has nothing to do with the video but i think Bradford Cox really loves japan. he has been to japan for the very first time in 2009. he just arrived and had his first gig at tokyo. i have been at the gig too. he asked if he can stay here forever.
sometimes "japan" appears in his lyrics ever since.
Travelin' Girl, again 17.05.2010
yes, my favorite lo-fi-pop song this year got a video clip now!
